Probable reference to the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine [1] a Catholic education system that Holly may have become involved with in her search for belonging. The fact that she was a CCD student but hanging out on "shady streets" shows her clearly vacillating between her two drugs of choice: religion and hallucinogenics (and other forms of illegal drugs).
