In this chapter, Bruno decides to make a tyre swing. He asks Lieutenant Kotler for help, and is scared and confused by his harsh response. He falls off the swing, but is patched up by Pavel Mother then tells Pavel to keep it as a secret and also tells the commandant she patched Bruno up.
