For many years, Asia Pacific College tried to put up a school paper for the students to be informed what's happening in and around the school. Some attempts failed because of the lack of support from the faculty and the students.

The concept of putting up a newspaper organization for the Asia Pacific College Engineering Society (APCES) started when Dann Garcia was running for president during the 2004 APCES Elections. He said that if he will win, he will establish a newspaper that will inform the members the latest happenings in the organization and the school. Unfortunately, he lost the elections against Mignon Dimapilis. But this doesn't stop his plans. With the help of then APCES adviser, Engr. Arnold Alcodia and some APCES officers, the newspaper was established on June 2004 under the name "Dyaryo Inhinyero" with Dann Garcia as it's first Editor-in-Chief. After two months, Engr. Ferdinand Perillo entered the scene and became their adviser. The publication soon changed its name to "THE PROCESSOR".

The first issue was released in November 2004 during the 3rd Engineering Week. Although the first issue sold only a few copies, it made history by being the first news publication to be established in APC and the first to be organized by students. After three months, the second edition was released. This time, a literary folio was included entitled "Ovrs Literatvra" (the literary folio was suggested by APC President Dr. Paulino Y. Tan). In just one week almost all copies were sold out and students from other courses wanted to buy copies of the newspaper.

In April 2004, Garcia stepped down as Editor-in-Chief and passed the responsibilities to its Associate Editor, Ruth Leslie Cruz. After almost five months in office, Cruz was relieved by the Office of Student Activities Officer Marivic Kipte due to some controversies during her tenure as the Chief Editor. Her Associate Editor, Ma. Jasmin Cabar immediately took over her responsibilities in the publication.

Today, THE PROCESSOR plays a major role not only in APCES but the whole school as well.
