Historical Notes on Enaness

Enaness was discovered by Rashkir before the Pardus conflict; sectors near Ururur were at that time mainly used for supporting Ururur population and having multiple fleet bases and shipyards, military industry was highly developed in Enaness during the conflict. Archive records of that time show that the nebula was taking nearly 70% of entire sector space before the development; it had a lot of creatures that were used for target practice by young Rashkir warriors. The largest known colony of Sarracenias was there, and it was sometimes used as trial grounds for Rashkir youngsters to prove their strength and courage.

However, detailed research on Enaness archive shows strange fact about this sector; the nebula seems to have greatly decreased over time. The true reason for this still remains uncertain. Some scientists believe it was natural process, but theories of the process being of artificial nature can be considered too. The sector was nearly deserted after Pardus conflict, because its resources were down to such low levels that it was impossible to support the infrastructure. Still, it was rumored that one of the mega-corporations which appeared after the Pardus conflict, claimed this sector and used it for so-called “biological research” (practically, production of drugs; it was easy to defend this sector and it had a good position for trade), until Lar’nak knocked the corporation out of business, rendering it a deserted sector once more. Because of the wormholes' cataclysm, travels to the cluster currently called North Pardus Rim, has been impossible and it took a long time to re-open it. Currently, the nebula is small, but a great diversity of sentient life (mainly cloaked Sarracenias, but also Space Worms and Ice Beasts) that is rarely seen even in bigger nebulas can be found in it. The sector’s resources have replenished again, and it offers good trading possibilities. There are still some mystries surrounding this sector’s history as well as its current state… maybe these mysteries will be solved one day, maybe not.
