Epsilon Eridani
From The Pardusian Chronicles
Historical notes on Epsilon Eridani
Epsilon Eridani was the second sector to be colonized by human explorers outside of Sol. Many generations of settlers have tamed the wild land and built their homes upon the fertile soil of Eridani Prime. To many humans, this was their home world, rather than Earth. And indeed, many people, born of Epsilon Eridani or Alpha Centauri, separated themselves from Earth humans both culturally, as well as politically. This schism brought a great deal of conflicts between the old and the new worlds, and even cries of secession. Some historians believed that had the war with the Keldon-Ska’ari Alliance not occurred, a great human civil war may ensue, threatening to destroy the entire race’s space colonization effort.
Regardless, the people of Epsilon Eridani suffered great losses during the Keldon-Ska’ari war, and subsequently under the tyrannical rule of the emperor Lar’nak. The great jewel city of Eridania was leveled, decades of cultural and artistic achievement reduced to ruins, and thousands of families displaced. But the Eridanians are hardy people, and through hard work and perseverance, they began to rebuild their great cities under the new Federation rule, rekindling a new hope in this world troubled by decades of conflicts.
