- | The fair planet of Ururur is well positioned in the Northern Pardus Rim and connects to four other sectors via wormholes. The planet Ururur itself provides ample amounts of food and water for its residents and surrounding areas, and has many fertile plains on its surface. Almost nothing but plains, some people complain. For such an important economic hub, however, Ururur supports remarkably little tourism. Simply put, Ururur is a boring place to visit and its inhabitants are boring people to talk with; people in Ururur prefer to spend their time talking of money, resources, and industry. The four known races are well represented in Ururur, and most of these residents are recent newcomers with professions in farming, trading, and mining. Very few have any interest in reliving Ururur's militant past.

- | However, what Ururur lacks in scenery and culture, it more than makes up for in resources; in addition to being a major exporter of food and water, Ururur has asteroids fields from which great quantities of ore can be mined. And although no nebula gas is available in the Ururur sector itself, it is cheaply imported from any of the four adjoining systems. Due to a lack of any organized military presence, X-993 squads have started harassing traders, and a large infestation of maggots and albino space worms now thrives in the asteroid fields.

- | Ururur's history is perhaps its most alluring aspect. Many important battles were fought here, but the evidence for most of that is long gone. Ururur's strategic importance became apparent shortly after its discovery by Ska'ari explorers. Ururur became an early Ska'ari stronghold and was used to exert control over the region. Ore mined from the asteroid fields here was refined into cubic kilometres of metal for warships at local shipyards. These warships were used to maintain control over trade routes and resources. The most famous operation led by Ururur fleets was the joint attack of the Ska'ari and Keldon fleets on the Leesti system, then a hotbed of Rashkan resistance. The colony on planet Leesti was utterly destroyed, and more recently in an attempt to cover up this shameful act, Empire astrocartographers renamed the sector to YC 3-268. Later during the drawn out Ska'ari-Keldon war against the Rashkir-Human alliance, enraged Rashkan forces retaliated. In one assault they managed to finally eradicate all Ska'ari and Keldon presence in the sector. All the shipyards were destroyed, all the buildings destroyed, all equipment and weapons were destroyed, and nearly all the people were killed. Since then, no organized effort has been made by any race or faction to reclaim the system.
