Plan X
From The Extended Group
Plan X refers to an extensive series of activities Senior Year of High School, cryptically referenced by the index notation of the order in which such plans occurred (such as Plan X14). While this system of cataloguing adventures eventually became exhaustively long and too confusing to ever have been pragmatic, the original Plan X, (or Plan X1), is remembered by those who partook in it with great detail and celebration.

Plan X
Background
Andy, Brett, Rama and Terry all shared a table in Ms. Hawkins' notorious British Literature class Senior Year. While "The Hawk" was infamous for her draconian grading curriculum and cold, impenetrable stare, one brief lapse in this regimen was notable that year. For the annual Shorewood Food Drive, Hawkins promised 10 extra credit points to the table which brought in the most amount of canned food. This was as momentous as it was insignificant, for though it betrayed Ms. Hawkins' considerable lack of charity toward students, the meager boost to one's grade hardly justified such an effort.
Despite this, several tables scrambled to win the elusive prize, chief among them was Kathleen Hansen and Nick Whiting's table, which from the very first day of the competition began bringing in copious amounts of bulk foodstuffs.
Execution
Table 3, occupied by the four aforementioned protagonists, conspired to co-opt the competition by carefully observing the group totals as they came in, all the while posing as unmotivated slackers who cared not for this sport of food-giving. Then, on the last day before class, Andy's truck was driven to the Shoreline Big Lots, where $200.00 worth of canned Spam, pineapple juice and other exceedingly cheap items were purchased in bulk. (To refer to this plan at school without tipping off their rival classmates, Table 3 compatriots would gesture with their arms in an "X" formation across the chest).
As the totals were counted in class that day, it became clear that Plan X may very well have failed, as Kathleen Hansen's table had executed a similar maneuver that morning, and, already the favorite, seemed poised to seize victory. At the end of the totaling, however, Table 3 etched out a narrow majority, infuriating Kathleen and winning for each of the conspirators a cool 10 points of extra credit.
Subsequent Uses
There were numerous Plan X's throughout senior year, referring to plans of varying degrees of trickery, and most involving asking people to Prom. The vast majority have unfortunately been lost to history.
Trivia
- It is unclear whether Andy, Brett, Rama and Terry ever actually received the extra credit they each paid $50.00 for.
