A Metric Tanner (MT) is a unit of measurement devised to quantify the weight of objects in relation to Tanner. 1 MT is equivalent to approx. 90 kilograms, or 9% of one metric ton. This term was devised while drinking coffee at Cafe Zoka, and is occasionally used to estimate the weight of those objects not normally known how many Tanners they might contain.
The conversation that started it all:
"How heavy do you think this table is?"
"Hm... I'd say one, maybe two Tanners?"
