Cho Knows was the name of a student video shown in Mr. Kelly's Freshmen English class. A hogde-podge of various skits and camerawork, the movie (made by an old student of the sagely teacher) was vaguely about growing up as a Korean student, and what it means to be American. The video was shown as a prompt for a unit about "America" and identity, although perhaps its more lasting legacy was as an initial inspiration (in its comedic style) for License to Kill a Mockingbird, made by Brett, Lukas and Stuart later that year.

Mr. Kelly claimed the video was shown to the Korean ambassador, a statement which was met with extreme skepticism.

Stuart enjoyed the video so much that "Cho Knows" was subsequently picked up as a Stuart buzzword, later to be used liberally around Jeremy. This reference eventually fell into obscurity after the class ended, with the exception being a brief appearance in the 2003 Imprints as the title of a Stuart submitted photograph. The meme would perhaps not have been remembered at all were it not for the "Cho Knows" Gate scandal a year later.
