From The Extended Group

Mr. Brown is a sweetened Japanese coffee drink served cold in a can. It features a large Dom deLuise-esque figure on the front wearing a white suit and holding a cup of coffee.
Group Use
The first recorded instance of group drinking of Mr.Brown occurred most likely in the Summer of 2002 after an excursion to Ho soon yi. As had become the custom, group members went to the asian grocery store next door to purchase drinks, and Terry happened upon the small 8 oz cans labeled "Mr. Brown" and perhaps owing to the humorous title, or the picture on the front, decided to buy a can. On the ride home, Terry became disillusioned by the drink, never having been a coffee-drinker in the past. Gavin however willingly drank the last 2/3 to half of a can with glee. This is also perhaps the first recorded instance of Gavin drinking coffee. After relishing the drink, Gavin began developing antics associated with a caffeine-high, including shouting "woobooboo" in the style of the three stooges or drumming on Terrys head. There is controversy over whether this was a genuine effect of the sugar and caffeine, or if it was the placebo effect. Regardless of the reality of its mood-enhancing effects, Gavin continued to purchase the beverage whenever the opportunity arose, and would drink it in group situations in order to boost his energy, leading to instances of him being wheeled around the QFC parking lot in a manic fashion while screaming. Brett soon joined in on the craze, drinking the beverage in excess in order to gain energy, as in before a school dance. He once reportedly drank 4 cans of the drink before a Shorewood dance, and almost suffered amnesia as a result of it, at one point pretending to break Lukas's neck. Use of the beverage fell into gradual decline, although Gavin continued to drink it and maintain a collection of empty cans. By sophomore year of college, the beverage was all but extinct among the group, perhaps replaced by alcohol among certain group members.
