Once thought to mean an unhappy existence, 'being asexual,' though rarely physically attainable, is an emotional ritual that many a college student undergoes periodically. The average period of asexuality for college students can range from two weeks to one's entire college lifespan (which in itself can vary from 2-5 years).


Types

Voluntary asexuality

Usually undertaken for health, academic, or other reasons. This form of asexuality is usually the more benign of the two. It is often remedied by time, social interaction with the attractive sex (especially in the presence of alcohol), and increased apathy towards academics.

Involuntary asexuality

The more sinister form of asexuality, involuntary asexuality is usually brought on by other diseases, either self-projected or actual. These could range from chronic bad breath and general uncleanliness to depression and even antisocialness.
