Mrs. Tsoming is characterized by an almost cartoonish exuberance. Always present and hovering whenever guests are over, Mrs. Tsoming does not let you forget her presence in the Tsoming household (in contrast to Mr. Tsoming, who is not quite as elusive as Terry's dad, but pretty close). She is famous for the polarizing dichotomy of her personality: she is both overwhelmingly generous and verbally cruel.

On two separate occassions, Mrs. Tsoming gravely insulted Terry's hair.

* When terry's hair was freshly buzzed, the first thing Mrs. Tsoming said as Terry entered their front door was: "Terry! What did you do to your hair? You used to be so good looking!"
