Whereas light waves are said to red shift when a receiving source observes a relative increase in wavelength, Lukas Peter Red Shifting describes the phenomenon in which Lukas's epidermal layer turns a luminescent shade of pinkish red.
This is known to occur when experiencing any one or combination of the following emotional states:
- Unmitigated delight
- Unwanted attention
- Embarrassment
- Attraction to a girl nearby
Famous Moments
- While Terry, Jamie, Lukas, and Andy were trying on tuxedos for the coming prom, all went well until it was Lukas' turn to try on his outfit. For whatever reason, Lukas failed to wear an undershirt when trying on his white dress shirt. And, unfortunately coupled with that, the dress shirt was paper thin. A combination of the realization of this fact and the presence of the female fitting room helper caused an extremely fast Lukas Red Shift, which, as some spectators report, was so luminescent that the red hue could be seen through the shirt.
- While on a class field trip for Plant Biology, Lukas was approached by an attractive female classmate who initiated a dialogue with him. After several interactions she asked him "hey, did you get sunburned?" Lukas readily agreed, stating that he had been out on a boat earlier, and the suns reflection amplified the burning effects. It is notable that it had been overcast the past several days.
