Brett pseudonyms are few and far between, generally reflecting various stages of amusement at Brett's erratic lifestyle, or crude homonyms to the Anglo-Frankish name.

Contents

Kathman

Based on subtle group associations between Brett and his "Kathmandu" rain-jacket purchased in New Zealand in 2001. Also chosen as accompaniment to Andy's "Cat Man" moniker. (See Pseudonyms of Andy Tsoming).

Bradd Lee

An ongoing fad Senior Year was to call Brett by the similarly sounding "Brad." Upon the discovery of an actual sex offender named Terry Hilyer[1], the nickname was changed to "Brad Lee," which, along with including Terry's surname, is also a play on the formalized "Bradley." Two "d"'s were later added as a satire of the extraneous "t" in "Brett."

Bert

In inexplicable replacement of Brett's name by Andy during Senior Year of High School that Brett never really cared for. Utterances today are usually performed in a short, nasally impersonation of Andy's voice.

Responsible Brett

This name came out during a party at Brett's house in the Summer of 2005, when, heavily intoxicated (estimates range from between 18-22 shots) Brett felt the need to make clear that he was still capable of managing the party with sound judgment. This led to a series of declarations asserting that he was simply "a responsible Brett trapped in an irresponsible Brett's body." Subsequently, "Responsible Brett" came to describe any instance of Brett becoming incoherent through alcoholic consumption.

Brertt

First in a long serious bastardizations of Brett's name by Terry starting in the Summer of 2005. Others in this category include "Brergd," "Brecht," "Brogd," "Brortt" and "Brudgt." Typically these are all uttered in a drawn-out sequence by Terry, who still has not lost his amusement for this practice.

Breasts

Often employed by Kevin in initiating AIM conversations, various takes on Brett's name sounding like a pair of mammary glands are sent without fail, often accompanied with the formal salutation of "Mr."

Mr. Food

Kevin's epithet for Brett's herculean appetite in the Summer of 2005. A variation, "Food Man" was briefly considered as a potentially humorous Mega Man boss. Generally associated with Brett's love of cheese.

"Angel of Despair"

Recently acquired title describing Brett's uncanny ability to show up in Andy's presence directly before and after a break-up, not unlike the Grim Reaper showing up before someone dies. Other variations of this include the "Angel of Loneliness" and the "Angel of Death."

Adolf Hilyer

An obvious play on the name of the German fascist dictator, the actual name "Adolf Hilyer" was rarely if ever used, although the salutation "Heil Hilyer!" was occasionally used accompanied by the "long high-five" in which the forearm was extended to a 180 degree position with the palm facing down.
