The Brett Getting Lost Hoax took place in the winter of 2001/2002, where a hangout was taking place at Jordans house, most likely in the basement. (see Jordans Basement) At one point Jeremy came in and in a worried tone explained how he had been with Brett near Boeing Creek when Brett inexplicably vanished in the woods. His sincerity convinced group members to get together and mount a search party of the park. Flashlights and other gear were gathered and a convoy of 2 cars were hastily driven to the edge of the park where the group split up and began calling to Brett. After a half hour or so of searching, Brett was sighted sitting in the passenger seat of Jeremys MPV blasting music incredibly loudly. It was around this time when the truth came out: Jeremy and Brett had planned the hoax all along to get a rise out of group members. In a mixture of relief and amusement and possibly mild annoyance, the group headed back up to Jeremys house where hanging out continued. Terry however scolded Brett for his irresponsibility (see Responsible Brett), and at one point punched him half-heartedly striking him in the jaw. This is an example of Brett and Jeremy doing ridiculous things (filming a video starring a giant blue excercise ball that was taken to Baskin-Robbins)
