Veikko Huovinen

Veikko Huovinen is a Finnish author. He has mainly concentrated on comical novels and plays, to my knowledge.

A few years ago, many people who heard that I liked to read Paasilinna, also recommended Huovinen to me. I didn't know too much about him, I had only heard his name once or twice. Back in Upper Secondary school we had to analyze a novel by him, called "Hamsterit" which always struck me as a mightily boring tale of a mightily boring and fucked-up nitpicker. Then finally in 2008 I read his novel collection, Rasvamaksa, and how mightily bored I was, once again!
