World War Z

World War Z is a fictional horror book by Max Brooks published in 2006. The work follows the international travels of a UN reporter, who records the tales and stories of the various survivors of the global and devastating zombie war. The interviews make up the book in a chronological order.

After reading this, I'd call WWZ the savior of zombie-related horror literature. The work itself doesn't offer too much zombie-science or survival tips like Zombie Survival Guide did, but its still an important book due to its fairly realistic portrayal of the human response and tactics to survive the onslaught. Naturally WWZ also has some bad and outright story elements in it, but for the most part it is a very well written and enjoyable book from this long-forgotten genre.
