Uusimaa in Southern Finland. It borders the regions Finland Proper, Tavastia Proper, Päijänne Tavastia and Eastern Uusimaa. The biggest city in the region is Helsinki, the capital city. Other notable municipalities of the area include Espoo, Vantaa, Järvenpää and Kerava.
