SATURDAY & SUNDAY AFTERNOON CLUB SESSIONS

56. Club Mix-In Sessions start at 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday afternoons throughout the year unless a special event, e.g. the Club Championships, or an American Tournament has been advertised in advance. Singles should not be played if all available courts are in use and / or players are waiting, (unless it is a Tournament or Ladder match). During Club sessions play one set (to a maximum of 6 all) and come off court if other players are waiting. In the Summer the Board Rota System is used between 2.30pm and 6.30pm (or at other such times as the Committee may determine).

57. Board Rota System - How it works

• a) If the Board is not already set up outside the Clubhouse, the first Member arriving for the afternoon session should take the Board from inside the Clubhouse, and hang it on the hooks on the front of the Clubhouse. Please do this even if only one or two people have arrived to play.
• b) If playing, place your name tag at the TOP of the "playing" slot provided.
• c) When a court is available, the member whose name is at the bottom of the "playing" slot has the choice of selecting THREE players from the SEVEN names immediately above. The Member left at the bottom after a selection has taken place, has the next choice when a court becomes available and so on.
• d) When a four has been selected, the four name tags are taken out of the "playing" slot and put on the pegs under the number of the court to be used.
• e) Play one set (max 6 all) and return.
• f) Each Member must remove his /her name tag from the court number pegs and either:
  • i) If playing again, place their name tag at the TOP of the "Playing" slot, or
  • ii) If not playing, hang their name tag back on the Board in the correct order.

58.Please Note

• a) Only place your name tag in the "Playing" slot if you are going to play.
• b) If a Member declines to play when selected (for any reason) that Member’s tag is taken out of the "Playing" slot and put it back on the Board.
• c) If a Member wishes to resume playing (even after a short interval) he / she must start again at the top of the "Playing" slot.
