		+	The Club's Bank Holiday AMERICAN TOURNAMENT was held in fine weather on MONDAY 30 AUGUST. 42 members turned out and had an enjoyable day.

		+	* WINNERS: Roz Holmes and Richard Gray.
		+	* RUNNERS UP: Belinda Powrie and Steve Banham.

		+	Many thanks to the ladies of the Committee who laid on a much enjoyed home baked afternoon tea.

* Note to newbies: Each game in an American is played as a doubles match, but each doubles partnership is dissolved at the end of the set. Come as an individual—your tally at the end of the afternoon will be totalled as an individual.
* The tournament starts with registration at 2:00pm, and play commencing at 2:15pm.
