Welcome
Welcome to WDB (Wilfrid Derome Building) Wiki area!
Please find the contents page here and in the navigation menu (on the left).
Um, now, why on earth would someone need to create such a site?
Well, the answer is:
We can all collaborate and contribute towards one project to build up a database of information much like Wikipedia. It is an exclusive Wiki-like site especially for those who are fans of Kathy Reichs books and/or 'Bones'.
Rules and guidelines will be much the same as they are on Wikipedia. Users should not create articles about themselves. There are user pages for this eg: User:Admin.
WDB + FF Forum Members
For those who are registered with the WDB, please sign in or create an account here,
then add your name to the list.
Staff shall be instructed to another page. I will add those personally.
If you are unable to create your account, feel free to email me requesting membership or PM me on the forum.
Please supply your desired username and I will reply with an email/PM confirming this with a random password. You will need to change this after logging in.
Editorship is open to all members of the WDB forum and is presently extended to the members
of Forensic Files also (see below).
If you are a Forensic Files member, please speak to Jen about registration for this site.
Once registered here, you can add your name to the list on the Forensic Files members page. If you are a member of both forums then PM the administrator first then Jen and add you name to the list on both member pages. Please use your username as on each respective forum.
An example would be [[User:Admin|Persempre]] on the Forensic files member page but [[User:Admin|Jean-Claude Hubert]] on the WDB member page. You may choose a totally different username to the one used on the forums, it's really up to you. Just make sure you link to your userpage correctly.
Guide
- Choose username for this site.
- Email forum admin (Iain and/or Jen for WDB and FF, respectively).
- Wait for email confirming this plus your password.
- Log in and change password to something you remember.
- Add your name to the member page(s).
- Create your userpage. eg. User:Admin
Security
Unlike Wikipedia, it is not open to anyone. This is so we can have some level of control to avoid vandalism. Users can become editors almost immediately upon signup. Some 'articles' that relate to forums are protected.
AND FINALLY...
Hope you all find it useful here!
