Serdal Tatar

From Tekken City

Serdal Tatar (born September 10, 1985 in Trabzon, Turkey) is a Turkish football player, more commonly known by commentators, pundits and fans as simply Serdal who plays as a striker. Serdal plays for Tekken City in the FA Barclays Premiership. At the current time, he is on loan at Olympique Lyonnais

Serdal was signed by Tekken City from Turkish giants Galataseray in Summer 2007, from which he started his initial career; costing the club £7 million. Serdal is widely known for his goal poaching abilities and also has an impressive attribute of heading the ball at goal. He is another player who was scouted by Blake Beard.

For Galataseray, Serdal during a pan of 3 seasons scored 43 goals in as many as 105 apperances. It immediately interested scout, Beard and informed then-manager, Ronald Koeman to make an offer for the player. For his astounding abilities in Turkey, he was offered a place in the National Side. Serdal has currently gained over 20 caps for Turkey, scoring 8 goals.

Since Serdal has been at Tekken City, he has immediately blown away past strike partners that have played alongside Chris Spears in recent seasons. He currently has over 5 goals domestically, but his performances have been second to none since new boss, Fabio Capello has taken charge of the team.

On October 27, 2007, Serdal scored a hat-trick in a 7-0 drubbing of Fulham in the Barclays Premiership. In that game he was awarded the man of the match. The following week saw him score again but only once, against West Ham United away at Upton Park.

On February 2, Serdal signed for Olympique Lyonnais on loan until the end of the season, as part of the transfer taking Karim Benzema to Tekken City.
