Marcus transferred specifications from CoMeT to existing CAD model, noting most excellently that the current square on the lead-swrew flexure connection was too big to fit inside the lathe body.

After conversation with Prof Culpepper, arm had to be added again to attach flexure with rails - this was so that a bushing could be used  to constrain the rotation of the carriage.

CAD

Marcus transferred specifications from CoMeT to existing CAD model, noting most excellently that the current square on the lead-swrew flexure connection was too big to fit inside the lathe body.

After conversation with Prof Culpepper, arm had to be added again to attach flexure with rails - this was so that a bushing could be used to constrain the rotation of the carriage.
