Broken
Silvery-white, a glorious hope, Quench the fire with a peaceful note, Heal the sick, relish the scenes, Live forever as a nation of teens.
Enemy in an allied eye, Brings about the rallying cry to raise the armies up on high, to raze the violence before July.
Machinations churned about From mines and smoke, grinding out, River of steel on epic scale As winds of change become a gale.
Roaring through they scream and yell, "Save the peace" as they sound the knell, the dirges start, the world exhales, no peace exists in raising Hell.
Grasping for trees, the leaves, the green, Take it back from the misery of a world gone black from musty fog, to save it from what we've become.
Violent twisted mangled Sun that reigns upon the broken gun, ghostly now in tattered grey memory of a fallen day.
