Tamagotchi Connection
From Tamagotchi Wiki
Tamagotchi Connection, also known as TamaV1 or just V1, is made up of three different versions for three different regions of the world: North America, Japan, and Europe/Oceania. The only real difference in these versions is their names and the language used. {{{name}}} is one of many versions of Tamagotchi, created by Bandai and released on {{{date}}}. The primary goal of {{{name2}}}, like every other version of Tamagotchi, is to raise an alien-like lifeform to become a successful character, live its life, and either die or return to its home planet, depending on the region it was released.

Features
This version of Tamagotchi uses features from a few other Tamagotchi versions, most notably the Original Tamagotchi and Mesutchi and Osutchi.
Feed
Tama V1 has almost the exact same feed function as the Original Tamagotchi, with a minor difference: each character now has a specific kind of food that it eats. Some characters have sushi, others may have hot dogs, or even burgers. Likewise, the snacks will vary with the character. Meals fill up one Hunger heart, while snacks fill up one Happy heart on the status screen.
Light
This feature may seem unimportant, but is necessary to obtain a good character. When the Tamagotchi goes to sleep, the light does not turn off, and the Tamagotchi will beep. This means it wants the light off. When the light is off, the sreen turns black, and if the Tamagotchi is alseep, one pulsating 'z' will appear, signifying the Tamagotchi is in fact asleep. Note that the Tamagotchi does not like the light turned off while it is awake, nor the light turned on while it is asleep.
Duck
Possibly the most infamous feature of the Tamagotchi is the 'Duck' or bathroom. Like all creatures, Tamagotchi must dispose of waste, and does so in the form of 'poop'. The Tamagotchi's owner must get rid of this poop by using the duck icon. This flushes the screen, and makes the Tamagotchi happy. However, failure to dispose of the waste may result in an undesired character (unless one wants an undesired character), sickness or even death, if not taken care of.
A new feature to the V1 is a 'toilet.' The toilet is used when the owner catches the Tamagotchi before it poops. Instead of flushing the screen, the character will sit on a toilet and do its business. This is purely aesthetic, and will not 'potty-train' the Tamagotchi, contrary to popular belief.
Game
In Tama V1, there are four games which are unlocked as the Tamagotchi grows.
Medicine
When the Tamagotchi gets sick, it is up to the owner to make it better. Using the medicine icon will do so. Failure to heal a sick Tamagotchi will result in death.
Discipline
Sometimes the Tamagotchi acts bad, or will not listen. To fix this, there is the discipline icon. A full Discipline meter may result in a good character (if taken care of also), while an empty or near-empty one may result in a bad character.
The discipline meter has a new twist in Tama V1: even with a high discipline meter, a Tamagotchi could still become a 'bad character,' or worse.
Connect
Introduced in Mesutchi and Osutchi, the ability to conect to other Tama V1's via infrared is one of the V1's main draws. Two V1's (or one V1 and any higher version) can connect, and play games, exhange presents, pull pranks, or produce offspring (if the characters are different genders). Overuse of this feature may result in quick battery drainage.
Legacy
The V1 has spawned many other versions up to V4, and each one continues to add on to the features from the V1.
