Young Soul Rebels Records & Tapes was a Detroit record store and label run by Dave Buick and Dion Fischer. It was located in Midtown, down the street from the Magic Stick. It opened on July 4th, 2003, and Ben Blackwell was its first paying customer. He, Brian Muldoon, and Jack White played a show that night at the Stick to celebrate the launch of the store. Supposedly, when the limited-edition pressings of the Australian LP of Elephant came out (about 300), Jack personally delivered around fifty or so to Young Soul Records. These LPs are highly coveted and can fetch a high price on eBay these days.
