A Package Deal may grant a Package Deal Bonus to reflect a character's cohesive concept and background. The size of the bonus varies with the size of the Package Deal.
This rule modifies Package Deals, Hero System Fifth Edition Revised page(s) 29-31.

A Package Deal may have a Package Deal Bonus that reduces its Character Point cost. The Package Bonus rewards the character for having a set of skills and abilities bound together by the character's concept and background. To determine the value of the Package Bonus, the GM adds up the total cost of the Package Deal before applying any Disadvantages. Compare the total to the following table.

TOTAL POINTS PACKAGE BONUS
1 to 4 0
5 to 9 1
10 to 14 2
15 or more 3

The value of the Package Bonus is deducted directly from the cost of the Package Deal. The Package Bonus is not listed with the character's Disadvantages, nor does it count against any campaign restrictions on maximum Character Points received from Disadvantages.
