Essentially, Japanese I is a pit trap, cunningly disguised as a class by Takako Izumi. She acts all nice and friendly, and gives out random 100%'s in an attempt to drag the suckers in so that they'll stay throughout their whole high school career in Japanese. Note that this ALWAYS works. One will not realize that they've been had until Japanese II, where "NO MERCY" runs rampant and the students wonder why they are in the class in the first place.
