The bottom of the barrell according to Steve Balak's rigorous classifcation of every upper school student. Lost Souls consisted of students who didn't do as well in school, didn't care to much about academia, or had other talents besides school that SMES didn't notice/care about. Many students who knew themselves to have been classified as a lost soul wore home-made buttons proclaiming so.
