The headmaster's role at SMES is to attend every large ceremony with lots of parents, preferrably to illustrate their tremendous wit. In this way, the parents are reassured that the headmaster actually exists, as they are largely dealing with the business side of the school. The day to day actions of the school are largely determined by the principle, but sometimes headmasters have a pivital role in determining policy.

Headmasters often step in to deal with the trivial policy of the individual schools when one of the kids goes and complains to their parents.

Process for the headmaster to get involved

1. Some great tragedy affects a student, usually something unimportant
2. Spoiled kid complains to parent
3. Parents rally together, often banding into large groups
4. Sometimes the parents organize legal threats
5. The headmaster gets involved

1. A parent with a large donation doesn't like something
2. Change is immediate
