Dashboard Confessional was a emo group that gained alot of popularity during the early 2000s. Mainly a vehicle for singer/guitarist Chris Carraba to express his feelings of heartbreak and sadness. He was seen as refreshing new awakening to the Nu-Metal scene that was dominant at the time. His fanbase consisted of teenage girls and boys who wanted to be down with teenage girls.
Critics of Dashboard dismissed the band as "lame" and "lacking rockage."
