2001-2002 Junior class Catalina retreat

The Junior Class retreat was held on a boat off the shore of Catalina Island. Members of the Junior class spent their time snorkeling and learning about nature.
Before anyone could partake in any aquatic events, the student had to pass a simple swimming test of jumping off the boat, swim to a point about 20 feet away, and back. Dareck Monteron failed the test, because he was lazy. He had to wear a wrist band for the rest of the trip. He also clogged the toilets.
One of the activities to do was jumping off the boat. Riaz Makan decided it would be funny to just jump off the boat in nothing but a towell. Everyone laughed.
Adam Osth did not partake in any events.
A group of students spent the majority of the time watching DVDs like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Mallrats, and Go.
