There are seven branches of skills that characters in Silk Road Online may use to enchance their abilities. There are three weapon branches (Bicheon, Heuksal, and Pacheon) and four magic branches (Cold, Fire, Lightning, and Force). Within each branch there are books of abilities that may be learned. Prerequisites for each level of ability differ withing each skill branch.

In order to increase a skill's level, the player must devote skill points in order to learn or enhance a particular skill branch or ability.

Weapon Skills

Bicheon Mastery

The Bicheon tree focuses on the usage of the sword and blade.

There are 8 books within the Bicheon Mastery tree. They are:

Heuksal Mastery

The Heuksal tree focuses on the usage of the spear and glaive.

There are 8 books within the Heuksal Mastery tree. They are:

Pacheon Mastery

The Pacheon tree focuses on the usage of bows.

There are 8 books within the Pacheon Mastery tree. They are:

Force Skills

Cold Mastery

The Cold tree focuses on slowing opponents and increasing one's own defense.

There are 7 books within the Cold Mastery tree. They are:

Lightning Mastery

The Lightning tree focuses on reducing opponent's defense and increasing one's speed.

There are 7 books within the Lightning Mastery tree. They are:

Fire Mastery

The Fire tree focuses on dealing damage and increasing one's strength.
