Name: Madison Conner

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Grade: Senior (12th)

School: Southridge High School

Hobbies and Interests: Writing in general (Madison is always seen carrying around her diary), Self-Defense (has trained in many things, from karate to boxing. She isn't an expert in EVERY field, but she knows enough to take down someone with a weapon)

Appearance: Madison's silky, brown hair flows downwards, reaching her own shoulders. It's the first thing people notice about her, because light always seems to shine off of it, not to mention it's color matches her eyes perfectly. Madison is about 5' 5" in height, and her whole body is toned like any normal girl's body: a cute pale face with a small nose, a normal sized chest, long slender legs and short feet. Her arms are longer than normal girls her age, and her hands are rather big as well. A black shirt always covers her red tank top. Madison always wears a torn-up pair of jeans to school, with a pair of brown colored sneakers. She looks alot like a normal girl, but her behavior says something completely different.

Biography: Madison is an intelligent, calm girl who has lived her life believing lie after lie, all dating back to when she was five. She was living with her mother Elana, whom the girl loved with all her heart and would do anything for, and her father Thomas, who looked like a sluggish brute, but was an intelligent and caring man. Thomas loved Madison just as much as any parent could, but completely despised his wife. She, unlike Thomas, only wanted Madison as a trophy daughter of sorts, entering her into beauty pageants, contests, etc.(Madison never really one anything from these though), so Elana didn't actually care for Madison otherwise. Once Elana had become weary of putting her daughter into pageants without any success, she began to think of her as a burden, and only wanted the girl just to brag to people that she has a child. The more and more Thomas had the thought in his mind, the more sick he became of Elana. Soon, Thomas filed for a divorce, and threatened that he would take Madison away.

Elana was a very cunning and manipulative person though, one who always got what she wanted from people. She personally wanted to keep her daughter for the sole purpose of gaining bragging rights over the other women. So just for and to make sure she got full custody over Thomas once they got divorced, she brainwashed her daughter into believing that her father was a violent man. Anyone would have doubted Elana's words, but Madison was only a small child at the time, and she held her mother in the highest regard, so she was compelled to believe everything. Elana also entered Madison into a self-defense class with the soul intent of making this full-faced lie seem even more true. The five year old fully believed her father was a brutally dangerous man, and payed her full attention towards training. The last time she ever saw her father was during the divorce preceding a month after being entered into the defense class. When he lost everything he has ever had to his ex-wife including his daughter.

Elana has had Madison under her complete control for almost all of the young woman's life. Her daughter knew that her mother was always right, and never questioned her otherwise, even when SHE KNEW that Elana was completely wrong. Due to this, Madison started her elementary school experiences as an empty shell of a girl, almost having no personality whatsoever. She always made decisions depending on what her mother wanted, and never actually tried many things that other kids view as normal fare. Once Madison became five years old, around the time of the divorce, Elana began to view her as a sort of burden, and rarely actually paid much of her attention towards the girl, other than asking how her day was and telling her to go to bed. Madison soon became even more secluded than ever before, not wanting to open up to anyone else at all.

Until Madison entered into elementary school. On the first day, she met a complete blond (ditz, of this case), talkative girl named Samantha Sorenson, and the two hit it off instantaneously. Samantha was the type of kid who would draw people into a conversation, going as far as to start talking to someone completely out of the blue. Madison began to open up more and more to the other girl, that by the time the both of them entered middle school, her personality showed it's true form. She started to become a fun-loving, open minded and kind girl who had a nice mind on her to boot. Samantha became one of the most popular kids at middle school, and Madison was right next to her, smiling all the way.

For about fourteen years of their lives, Madison and Samantha were firm friends who were always seemed to be in each others classes. They usually met at Samantha's house after school every Friday, chatting about school, outside life, etc. If someone were to ask her, Madison would actually said she loved Samantha, both as a great friend and as a sister. Samantha was one of the few kids at school who could actually make just about anyone smile, and that was one of the many reasons Madison liked her so much. Well, that's what Madison always told herself. She would always think, "How could you think differently? I mean, you've known her forever, and has she ever done anything bad to you... right?" She'd always answer no.

Madison has no family members other than Elana in her life, though has made a few friends in middle school, all of whom where acquaintances of Samantha. She never actually made many friends without the help of her best friend, but she was perfectly fine with that. If her mother and Samantha were there for her, Madison didn't care about anyone else.

Well, that was until four months ago, when Samantha hung herself in her room. She always seemed like a happy, content girl to everyone she knew, but this must have not been the case. Madison was completely broken when she found out. Samantha and her where the best of friends for almost 15 years, so she could have just told her about her problems. Madison, nor anyone else could have guessed why she would have ended her life the way she did. Samantha was feeling somewhat sad during the last five days of her life, and everyone who knew her seemed to notice her sudden change in personality. When Madison questioned her about it, Samantha just shrugged and told her friend 'not to worry about it.' If only someone were to press her on the subject, she may still be alive today. Madison felt she was to blame. She should have given a damn. SHE should had been there for her. Samantha was always there to catch her if she fell, so the least Madison could have done was to have done the same exact thing, but she didn't come through.

After all that was said and done, Madison became completely depressed. She would begin to cry completely out of the blue, and started to lose her grip on her schoolwork (it was the beginning of the school year, so you know she was going through something horrible). The brunette even began to contemplate going out the same way, deciding that she couldn't live without Samantha's guidance and determination to guide her through life. Before she could do anything, Elana decided that it was best if they move away to a quiet town, where her daughter can cope with the grief and continue to finish high school without any. The REAL reason why the both of them moved was because Thomas wanted to see his child again, though Madison wouldn't have known that. Elana needed to get away from her ex-husband real quick, and Samantha's recent suicide seemed a good enough scape-goat. So not only has Madison lost her best friend, but also all her other friends that she had to lean on. The only person Madison had left was her mother, who was beginning to loathe her daughter.

In Madison's mind, she believes she has a perfect life. A mother who cares about her, a friend who's always worried about her, and a nice place to come home to. She thought she had it better than most girl's her age. Oh, how wrong she was. In actuality, Madison's life sucks compared to others in her own age group. She just isn't very dramatic about it though, and there's not much of a chance she'll become a depressed goth anytime soon. Instead, she's chosen to block out every single horrible memory inside of her own mind, and has become rather ignorant whenever something bad happens to her. Her whole life has been one big lie, and she's too oblivious to even pick up on this. Her mother, sees Madison as some sort of annoying pest; she never gets involved with her daughter's personal life, unless if it has something in it for her. Madison believes she had the perfect friend, but this too, was a lie: Samantha was a very self-centered girl who only let Madison hang around her because there were benefits to keeping her as a friend (test answers, for example). She also had a boyfriend, Charles, but he constantly cheated on her, and she never had the forwardness to confront him about it. Hell, there was also this college kid she actually took a liking to, but he wasn't exactly the kind of person Madison enjoyed talking about (flashback coming soon). Since of her name, innocent state of mind, however, every bad thing that she could recall was pushed into the back of her own head, to make sure it would never come out of her ever again. These sort of things tend to build up inside, however. Like most of the participants in SOTF that have been pushed around and harassed, Madison might lose her cool and go postal, although this is totally not in her nature to do so.

Madison has begun the path back down to becoming an empty shell of a person again. She doesn't exactly know how normal people are supposed to make friends, because most of her other friends were well known by Samantha. Everything Madison had gained in life she was given by her best friend, so without her, she has become very alone. Despite her beliefs about herself to the contrary, however, Madison is still the same girl she was when Samantha was still alive and kicking. Shy, timid, and appears to have the personality of a loaf of bread. She tries her best not to socialize with anyone during her stay at Highland Beach, fearing that she may be rejected because of it.

Now this isn't to say that Madison has no personality to speak of. Yes, as explained many times before, Madison has become somewhat of an empty shell, but there are moments when she can really show her true colors. She is kind of shy, but when provoked she can chat up a storm like no other. She has also seen her fair share of sadness and angst, moments that she hasn't been able to let go of. When she is reminded of a bad moment in her life, an event that she's been trying her damned best not to conjure up, she could go into hysterics. She cries, she babbles on, and appears as though she has lost her fragile mind. Madison might be seen as calm and collected, but she can get pissed off like no other. It's very rare for her to ever lose her temper at anything, which is when she does lose her cool, she takes on the appearance of the most temperamental and harsh students on the Southridge campus. She goes so crazy, that she's gets pissed off, that even the most angered and extreme person may have to step back. That's how pissed off Madison can get when under the right circumstances, and people who tick her off in this way regret their actions completely.

Not to mention being a loner, but Madison is an extreme perfectionist, dating back since she was a small child. Elana has taught her that things are not made to be done half-assed, and Madison has taken this thing to heart. Everything she ever participates in had to be done perfectly, without error. If something that she knows that she could have done flawlessly, is not done seamlessly (like, for example, getting a C+ on a test), Madison will suddenly become even more of a emotional mess than she was when Samantha died.

Madison has become kind of a pushover, however. Someone who tends to follow the leader instead of actually leading. She believes she's very forward, but in truth, she's the opposite. Most of the time, if someone tells her to do something, she'll do it without complaint. Of course, there are times where she takes full control of a situation, and she becomes more forward, but most of the time, she's very submissive. This girl might turn out to be either just be a lackey to one of the heavyhitters, or one of the distant travelers who seem to go under the radar and suddenly appear in Endgame. The only chance Madison could ever become a power player is if all those bad memories in the back of her mind attack her subconscious all at once. The chances of this happening are slim to none, and even if it does happen, she might actually sob more than she kills. It actually might be likely that Madison might kill herself in this case, although she has had a lot of experience in keeping her thoughts to herself, so there might not be any changes personality wise during V3.

Unlike the majority of her fellow students, Madison has never watched, and expects that she never will, watch the dreaded show Survival of the Fittest. She just believes it as sick, demented, and completely faked (although she doesn't know anything about SOTF being a terrorist act). Although she makes it out to look like this is the ONLY reason she doesn't watch it, but there's actually one detail that she hasn't shared with anyone else: She actually becomes nauseated whenever she sees blood, puss or anything in between. Madison hopes that her fear of these sort of disgusting things doesn't embarrass her, which is why she tries not to let anyone know this. Ever.

Ever since Samantha's untimely death, Madison has been getting these strange feelings. They always happen at random times, and they make her whole body go numb. When she gets these feelings, she begins to act completely different. She becomes more emotional-driven, speaks with a rude tone in her voice, and does things she wouldn't usually do. Elana tells her "It still must be the shock over your friend's dreadful end," but Madison isn't to sure about that. She doesn't know definitely what these feelings are supposed to mean exactly, but she always get the belief that they're an omen stuck in her head. If they're just a sign of things to come, or of something even worse inside her, only time will tell.

Advantages: Madison has a normal body for a girl her age. Not too built up, but it isn't too frail either. Not too overweight, but she's by no means as skinny as a string. That means she won't be held back by her body whatsoever. She also has trained in self-defense for almost three years, so she might be able to hold her ground when she gets into a struggle. Madison tends to blend right into the background, and sticks to following other rather than being the leader. This might serve her well, since it's possible she'll go right under the radar and take the game during endgame.

Disadvantages: Madison is a sort of a loner, and tends to stray away from actually interacting with people (because she really doesn't know how). Because of this, she really has no one she could actually call friends. Plus, even though she has no disadvantages with her body, she has no advantages either. Not to mention, she is rather squeamish when it comes to violence. She might adapt to the gritty nature of SOTF, but coming in contact with something very disturbing, who knows what will happen to her? Even though so much has happened to Madison in her life, she's become reserved. If she were given the chance, she probably won't be able to kill someone. The only chance she'll be able to attack someone is if they were to attack her first, since she's taken self-defense classes in the past.
