SATA Hard Drives
Sonar users storing their audio data on SATA hard drives have reported having numerous problems. It's recommended to store your Sonar audio on an IDE or external hard drive, by simply putting your audio folder there and pointing Sonar to it in the "Project Folders" box in Options | Global | Folders.
Note that having Windows, or even the Sonar program itself, on a SATA drive does not seem to cause these problems.
