Ink-Eyes, Servant of Kuro

Pre-Split Infinity History

Originally born on the world of Kamigawa to the Nezumi Okiba gang of shinobis Ink-Eyes, named for her black pupils and the color of the fur on her eyesockets, was tossed out into the wilderness by her own people after it was found out her mother had cavorted with an Oni, the demons of Kamigawa, and that Ink's father was infact one of them. What became of her mother is hard to say but it's likely she was killed for her acts or, at the very least, set into the wild to die just as her daughter was. The little ratling would have died, and perhaps would have been better off if she had, but an ogre by the name of Muzan took her in and raised her as his own. Ogres are not known to treat their children well however and, unsurprisingly, Ink was regularly beaten whenever she messed up and sometimes even when she didn't. Perhaps it was rather ironic that she grew up to become such an efficient little killer because of the mistreatment; and even more ironic when she finally killed Muzan while he slept in bed, ramming his heart through with a blade and watching him die without more than a hateful stare directed at her. The ultimate irony of it all was when she found out the 'master' who directed the ogre and whom she had killed many, many others in the name of was an Oni by the name of Kuro the Pitlord. It was he who had directed the ogre to take Ink in all those years ago and, when Muzan became too decrepit to perform his job, he was replaced by the ratling. For her obedience she was given the tiniest sliver of his power which, to this day, is one of the main reasons she can perform so many of her amazing stunts and feats. Most visible of all however was her eyes, which gained a red haze perpetually leaking from them, a mark that forever indicates her allegiance to the Oni. And so it was that she left the wretched swamp bound for a city where she would have her world thrown upside down when she got sucked through a portal that spit her into the modern day world of Earth.

Split Infinity History

Though initially rather lost after being tossed into not just another world but one where technology was advanced beyond anything her own could even imagine Ink-Eyes managed to quickly adapt and took up a job working at a strip-club that featured Otherworldan girls strutting their stuff. It was through this she often took out new jobs and earned a bit of money--though the latter was really just a bonus given her delving brought in far more but was naturally quite sporadic. Finding her old weapons no longer quite as useful in this new setting she learned how to use guns which, thanks to some silencers, were just about as effective in letting her perform her duties with the same quiet that a sword did. Her existence was actually quite boring compared to the old one and, despite repeated attempts to contact her master, she found that she just couldn't seem to manage it. Why this wasn't a possibility she never managed to fathom, but, over time it became less of a concern as she settled into a new life. Then the day of doom that you saw featured in various movies came to the planet. Luckily Ink-Eyes managed to slip in with many others and escaped to yet another world...

Present History

Yet again deposited into somewhere that was technologically advanced like the previous one, but where magic had actually coexisted, Ink was forced to once again restart from scratch. Worse yet was the fact the shift had dwindled some of the power bestowed upon her by Kuro some years back. Though still possessing the physical prowess she found a fair amount of the knowledge she had acrued previously just.. vanished. Forced back to the use of more medievil sorts of ways to dispose of enemies she took to travelling rather directionlessly for a time--which is how she came across a group of so-called pirates of a ship named the 'Lagos'. Having no other direction to proceed in she ended up following after them.. though initially this wasn't even known since she just sort of appeared during one of their salvage attempts. Though seemingly undependable the Nezumi always comes through in the end.. usually by shanking someone or thing.
