Psyche Project - go there right away for info on our golden oldie hit at previous SCALE events. Currently there are several projects and proposed projects. All recent efforts involve either Asterisk, the open source telephony solution or our Psyche Project for SCALE.

Meta Programming
Basically just code reuse. You are already meta programming on a low level if you use more than one tool for a given task. It is the kind of problem that is best done by a community with no profit motives. Not to say that some of the parts couldn't provide a revenue stream, but it requires bringing many different preexisting tools, utilities, suites and other components together in a manner that can only be done in an open environment without the licensing issues of a corporate project of similar scope. Got your attention? Check it out, not as daunting a task as it might seem, let's be a part of open source history!
