Personality

Ye is an outright over-achiever. His infinite curiosity always gets the best of him, plus his his over inflated ego to add to the equation. His intellect fuels the wickedness of his motives, making it more than just child-like curiosity . He personally thinks that he can be a charming person, but the truth is-- he is actually quite annoying. But don't tell him that, because he'll only ignore you. Ye still retains many of his Chinese mannerisms, being polite when he should to the appropriate people. However, his grin still remains, which to most seems extremely spiteful. When he is most cheerful, he tends to skip, jump or even dance on his way to where ever he may be going. To most he appears and acts way younger then he actually is, most rarely believe that he is a third year student at all.

Ye also claims that he is very good at writing (in Chinese and English) backwards. Image:awesome.gif

History

The Ainsworth family is a nice and wealthy British family, full of successful sons and daughters that go off to make the family more proud and rich. However, one son of this family deviated from their line ever so slightly. Avery Ainsworth fell in love with a lovely young girl from his college, Lei Chen, whose family had moved to the UK years before. She was an intelligent and kind person who took to Avery just as quick.

Only a few years later they would be wed, the Ainsworth still expecting much from Avery, even if he married outside of their nationality. Their marriage was successful, and they produced a son within the next year. It was only a part of Avery's family expectations, he was to raise his child to be a talented Ainsworth, just like everyone else.

They decided to name their child Ye Jiang, a Chinese name, as he would have the family name, which was British. Even before little Ye was old enough to walk, Avery already begun plans for what schools he was to attend, what he was to learn and what he was to do in the future. Lei was hesitant about what plans her husband had for their child, but if her husband knew what was best, then she was to trust him.

To say that Ye was raised as a spoiled child is both a truth and a contradiction. He was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth; he always had the finest of whatever it was that he needed, but perhaps never what he wanted. While other boys went out and played, Ye would stay inside all day and read the books and write the lessons he was given by his parent's pre-school tutor. When he did get a chance to play, it was always by himself.

The boy's personality wasn't quiet spectacular at the time, but he bloomed into an extremely socially active person as soon as he was sent to school with the other children. While well read boys like him became bookworms, his parents (mostly his mother in this situation) encouraged him to become more sociable. So he did.

On the side from school, Ye took violin lessons at home with a private tutor, not to mention the other tutoring lessons on the side. His father expected him to excel over his expectations in everything he did, which put a lot of stress on Ye as a kid, which was almost completely alien to most his age. Matter of fact, most would've snapped some where down the line with all of the pressure and learning. Ye knew what determination meant, and that living up to his father's expectations made him truly happy. If his father was happy, so was his mother; these things were his motivation.

By the time he was fourteen, Ye was quite the accomplished young man. Since then he had attended private schools, his scores close to the top almost every year. But he wasn't the absolute best, which always created an air of bitterness with his father. It hurt Ye to see this, but as much as he did strive, he was never THE best. But he was superior none the less. Socially, he had become a socially outward person, lively and cheerful almost all the time. Still playing the violin, he also took up chess to keep himself busy. Busy, busy, busy!

And he always was busy after that, even after being enrolled into Second Heaven. Ye suffered greatly from the amount of stress he was put under for his entrance exams- his parents wanted him to get into the school and not have to get him in with their own money. Sleepless nights, cramming, reviewing. It was painful, but Ye was smart enough to make it to a relatively top rank. He had done his family proud- at least for now.

Into his third year, Ye has kept his rank up as high as he could manage. He is a fun loving student who dedicates much of his time to studying. But what other free time he has is spent with his hobbies- playing chess and the violin. Though as of late, he has become more adventurous due to his age. On weekend nights, Ye could be seen out on the town. But what does he do there? He's just a weird book worm. Right?
