Appearance
Chaton gives out a sort of ice-princess air. She dresses impeccably and wears enough make up to remind people of a porcelain doll. Her hair is black, long, usually swept sideways or braided neatly. Fair, almost pale complexion, lean frame, average figure. She holds herself up with a straight (graceful, not rigid) posture. She wears glasses but more often contacts. She usually wears an aloof, emotionless expression or just a perfected socially-acceptable polite smile.
History
Chaton was born a few minutes earlier than her twin sister, Cadence. Their father was a rich Japanese businessman and their mother a French fashion model. The Mizuki twins had a normal (if pampered) childhood and they were practically insuperable. Around their teenage years, though, it was clear that Cadence lagged in accomplishment compared to Chaton. Their parents began to treat them differently - and even though they tried being subtle about it, it was still noticeable that Chaton was the favored daughter. Clueless of how to deal with this, Chaton and Cadence grew distant.
Negligence is a word familiar to the twins. They were practically raised by the maids and each other, their parents only involving themselves in matter of education and social functions. Chaton's childhood was filled with a lot of activities designed to make her the perfect Neige-Mizuki daughter: ballet, swimming, music lessons (piano and harp), language lessons, Jujitsu, fencing, acting, etc. She didn't have any problem with it, although she'd have enjoyed them more if she wasn't so pressured on doing well instead of just because she loved doing them.
Over the years, she's been so accustomed on following her parents' wishes without too many protests, simply because she didn't want to deal with the scolding that would come should she rebel. This includes keeping her grades up, being a model student, and going for Science major despite the fact that she hated science subjects and was more interested in language and arts, especially acting.
Hating doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't excel in them.

Chaton is an artist in self-restraint; especially concerning her wishes versus her parents'.
In fact, she's gotten so used to doing it she can function in autopilot for weeks long without a problem. She's well aware that what her parents are making her do is for prestige or a perfect conversational currency in family dinners, but she is also aware that it will eventually be good for her future, therefore prompting her to repress her wishes and follow theirs more. Chaton is focused, meticulous, calculative, competitive, and properly competent. This makes her a little feared and/or respected by other students; the kind you'd love to hate but not actually doing anything that deserves hatred except be excellent and aware of it.
On the more invisible, deeper level Chaton believes strongly in independence and not meddling with how someone wants to live their life. This probably stems from how her parents have always controlled her life. The only choices she gets to make are her clubs and sports, which, of course, are made sure to not clash with her parents' demands.
