The Junior Assitant Scout Master (JASM) is a youth with leadership abilities, that would be able to be a ASM, but is currently to young to do so. (needs rewording)
- Appointed by: Scoutmaster
- Reports to: Scoutmaster
- Responsibilities:
- Works with:
- Assistant Scoutmaster(s)
- SPL for whatever is necessary
- Does everything an assistant scoutmaster does except things age prevents him to.
- Set’s a good example
- Enthusiastically wear’s the uniform correctly
- Shows scout spirit
- Works with:
- Qualifications:
- Over 16, but under 18
- Approved by BSA
- Fulfills:
- Recommended
- Attending Junior Leader Training run by Troop
- Term
- Until he becomes 18, in which he becoes a ASM
