Gear Basics
Gear are items you wear that give you various benefits. You can equip up to two items, including two of the same type of item.

Deciding what Gear to choose is a difficult task depending on what type of weapons you use. Your best choices are Birthday Cake (Or Pre-Emptive Medpack, if you were not around at the beginning of July) and the Super Hero cape. That way you can focus on making your weapon stronger rather than making your defence and weapon stronger at the same time.
You can create new gear by discombobulating existing gear and crafting new gear. This feature has not been fully implemented yet.
Discombobulating
Discombobulating is the fine art of taking a large hammer and breaking down existing gear into its component parts for use in crafting new gear. Some items can yield more than one type of component, but this is rare. Currently raw components cannot be bought, sold, or equipped to any effect.
