[edit] Effects of the Big Red Button Of Uncertain Doom
Each time it's activated at the begining of a round, the BRBUD will generate a random message and effect. some posible outcomes are listed below.
Text: You press the Big Red Button of Uncertain Doom, and it, in a sequence of events which could never be described in a low (actually, no) budget game like this one, causes you to be defeated and deader than a parrot.
Effect: You instantly lose the battle.
Text: You press the Big Red Button of Uncertain Doom, and it presses you back. The philosophy of the situation hurts and confuses you.
Effect: You take minor damage (1-10 pts).
Text: You press the Big Red Button of Uncertain Doom, and it starts humming ominiously, and then zaps one of your lab techs. If you didn't have a lab tech, then it just pretended to zap the one you didn't have.
Effect: Kills one of your labtechs.
Text: You press the Big Red Button of Uncertain Doom, and a sign lights up saying "Please do not press this button again." Because you don't know where your towel is, you decide to leave it alone.
Effect: No Effect.
Text: You press the Big Red Button of Uncertain Doom, and it forcibly injects your opponent with anti-caffeine. Painful and numbing! (much like a history lesson, in fact.)
Effect: Damages opponent????
Text: You press the Big Red Button of Uncertain Doom, and, in a puff of flux capacitance, times gone an hour or so backwards.
Effect: Gain one extra combat Charge.
Text: You press the Big Red Button of Uncertain Doom, and out pops a piece of gear labelled "Inverser" on a spring. Could be useful.
Effect: Adds an Inverser to your inventory.
Text: You press the Big Red Button of Uncertain Doom, and it turns out to be certain doom for your opponent. Poor guy/gal/thing.
Effect: Instantly kills your opponent.
