Also the high school that Olivia attended. Emily and Carmen went to high school in another state. Carmen's family lived in Ann Arbor until the third grade, when they moved because her mother got a job in the same city as Emily's father worked. Carmen and Tobias have been friends since before Carmen moved, and kept in touch while Carmen was in middle and high school, although not very well. When they both ended up at the U of M they became much closer. Tobias and William both went to some middle school and then Pioneer, which was how they knew each other. Greg also went to Pioneer, but he did not know William and Tobias until college. Emily and Greg met in their first class freshman year when they competed to have the highest grade in the class. Olivia and Tobias also met freshman year.

This is the summer after either their freshman or sophomore year. (Sohpomore might be better, because that would more time for the friendships to have reasonably cemented. Also Emily and Carmen should have a reason for staying in Ann Arbor over the summer.

Also, Emily and Carmen recently inherited some money from a dead relative who is paying for them to go to college. (I think.)

Does that make sense? Mostly.

(Also this has very little to do with Community High School.)
