Hallie's cousin's wedding or whatever. Should we actually talk about it?

For the uninitiated, we were going to have a terrible running [not "joke" exactly, but running "mention"], involving how Hallie is going to go to her cousin's wedding relatively soon. So she would say something about taking Dylan to her cousin's wedding, and he would shudder, refuse, and say "I fear commitment." Which would be taken as a joke, but is also pretty transparent. And Hallie would say something like, "I always get choked up at weddings..." and then later, when Nick asks Hallie out, she'll reply that she has to go to her cousin's wedding and he'll say, "I always get choked up at weddings," or something similar that makes it obvious that they're MEANT TO BEEEE.

But it doesn't have to be Hallie's cousin's wedding.
