From Reydala
All-powerful, the deities of Reydala hold a position of great responsibility. Unfortunately, many deities ignore or downright refuse these responsibilities, but such is their right.

Religion in the World
The cultural significance of Religion varies from country to country, and occasionally from town to town. In a world of tangible godly powers however, worship to some extent is very common. Among the common folk, polytheism is the standard, directing their prayers to whoever or whatever is relevant to the tasks at hand. Those with more intimate relationships with the gods, clerics, bards, and especially paladins usually select from a much smaller group of devotion.
Most cities of significant size will have a temple to each of the main deities of the region, sometimes with communal temples for worship of like-minded deities. Most larger temples hold regular worship services and many offer further clerical services to the community. Outside of Riscana and Leyandra, tolerance for various deities is the norm. Worship of evil deities is still frowned upon, and most such temples are clandestine in nature to prevent discovery.
The procurement of an "afterlife" is a rare occurance and many of the gods do not call souls after their mortal demise at all. The vast majority of souls, regardless of divine orientation, merely rest peacefully in the Stone garden for all eternity.
