There is absolutely nothing remarkable about Riversend at all.
A fishing town located between Port Calin to the north and Goodharbor to the south, about the only thing that happens in Riversend are the fishing boats going in and out on their rounds, and the odd village boy with a dream in his eyes gallivanting off for adventure. There was that time that Steel Lotus Exalted, and that was very exciting, but he got snatched up by the Seventh Legion and that was almost thirty years ago anyway.
In short, it's a town ripe for something momentous to happen to it, because this is Exalted and that's just what tends to happen in Exalted games.

Places
The Old Salt
A tavern meant to cater to sailors, merchants, fishermen and the odd traveler, the Old Salt is a bit... well, it's somewhat touristy in places, as it has a very heavy "pirate" theme and it was created about a century ago by a retired Guild merchant who'd never actually stood at the helm of a ship in his life. But having said that, it's a pretty okay place. The food doesn't sit longer than a day, the kitchen is mostly clean, and the alcohol isn't too watered down. Every now and then, there's a drunken bar brawl, but even the long-suffering inspectors in the Atsushi family's employ consider it all a bit of a lark, really.
Silk Blossom's
A brothel, and a surprisingly nice one. The "evening flowers" who work at Miss Silk's vary from two-dinar harlot to high-price courtesan, depending on what services the customers want and are willing to shell out good hard cash to have for a night. The brothel sits in the small harbor, across the cobbled street from The Old Salt, and its red paper lanterns wink across the promontory bay at night. Most of the time the customers are locals, sailors and Guild merchants, but every now and then some out-of-towner stops by for a roll in the hay before going on his way in the morning.
The Guildhouse
Probably a more grandiose name than this place actually deserves, it's a small office run by a single man, Nellens Razin. Somewhat plain and ramshackle, especially considering the unExalted Dynast that runs it, it's still kept in strict running order, and most of the personages and paperwork passing through the office are requisitions to other ports.
