History
Things used to be better years back for the young lad. Born eighteen years ago in Riversend, Ryumaru Mori was the child of Luminous Qiao and Watanabe Jaku. His father, Jaku served his life as a goods transporter for the Guild, keeping his love of the sea long after retiring from it, resorting to a life fishing and the occasional delivery to provide for the family. Having met Luminous Qiao in one of the bars he frequented during his time at sea, after leaving his life of a Guild transporter, he took the surprisingly talented bar singer as his wife, setting up home in Riversend after she fell pregnent with their first child.
Things began to go downhill from there; several years after Ryumaru's birth, his father vanished. Used to his frequent long trips, no one worried for him... until this month became two months, three months...
Giving birth once again, with child before Jaku's trip, Qiao was surprised to find their family had swelled in just a few mere moments - Not one, two or even three children... But four in one birth! At the age of ten, it was forced upon Ryumaru to now provide for their impovished family, his mother constantly caring for his newborn brothers and sisters: Shining Ember, Radiant Opal, Tarnished Onyx and Kenshiro Murai. Now treated as the man of the house, maturing far quicker than a child should be expected, he took on mulitple jobs to keep the large family in food and clothes. Fisherman, helping to farm the nearby crops, odd jobs about town and quite recently, having been taken in as an apprentice to Hundred-Fold Steel Lotus, master blacksmith of the village, passing on her years of experience to the lad. It didn't take long for her to become a mother figure in his eyes, caring for him in a way his mother no-longer had time for.
Eighteen years old now, the young lad fully matured into a man. Toughened by twenty hour days of work, experienced in many fields and known about town for his honest enthusiasm and will to help, he knows a good few people to go to when you need something and has had little trouble winning the affections of most due to his somewhat androgynous, handsome looks and likeable personality, still providing for his oversized family.
