Despite that, she's as determined as ever to take care of the Doctor and keep saving the universe. Any Doctor who'll have her will have as loyal a Companion as she's ever been.
History
Post-Doomsday, Rose worked with Torchwood in Pete's dimension. Although the Doctor had (she thought) given up on finding her again, Rose didn't give up on finding him. Having found a dimension-traveling device among the many untested items collected by Torchwood, Rose essentially stole it and landed in the Nexus. She found her Doctor there, but after a few upsetting adventures and revelations found herself abandoned again.
