Basic Character Information

Alternative Universe

Splitting off directly after the events of 2.04 "The Girl In the Fireplace", rather than fix the loose connection within the fireplace, the Doctor was unable to reconnect the wires, and was, thus, trapped in 18th century France with Reinette, the woman he saved. To survive (and save her from the terrors of early medicine), he took a job as her personal physician. The two were easily friends and, eventually lovers. He became her consort, but never her husband, out of fear that he would go under public scrutiny if such a thing occured.

Entry Point

Three years after the events of 2.04 "The Girl in the Fireplace", on the night of the Yew Ball.

Personality

He used to have so much mercy. In the beginning of his tenth incarnation, the Doctor was bright, cheerful, enjoying life even as he'd seen the terrors of it. He enjoyed pop culture, tea, rock music, and journeying through the stars. Since being trapped, however, his outlook has changed, somewhat. Dealing with French politics, internal manipulations, and the rather cold part of the human world, he developed a slightly cold, ruthless streak himself.
