The Planet Os
Os is a planet divided by castes and clans, even though it has the technological advancement of about twenty-first century Earth. The clans of the lower castes are closer to the earth, usually literally, and serve the upper castes through their abilities to manipulate the elements. The Windstalkers are a clan of people who can influence and ride the winds. Unlike the other clans of the lower castes, they tend to live at higher altitudes: in the trees and in the cloud cities of the upper castes. They are considered the "highest" of the lower caste clans.
The Ossian race externally resembles humans in almost every way. They have a life span of approximately two hundred years.
Orian's History
Orian was a prodigy of the Windstalker clan, able to do more with the winds than any other before her. She was called to work personally for the leader of all Ossians, a man she grew to hate. He was cruel to those around him, though kind to his people. She knew many secrets about him, and feared her life should she ever attempt to leave.
When Orian was twenty, she met a man in Olt, the main cloud city. He was an odd man, who spoke with a strange accent and wore strange clothes. He called himself the Doctor. After Orian saved his life from what would have been a fatal fall, he offered her a ride in his TARDIS. She agreed, and her life was forever changed.
One day, Orian woke up to find herself in a strange place: London. At her bedside was a small device, which beeped incessantly. She immediately activated it, in the hopes of finding her Doctor: the man in the white clothes with a stalk of celery on his lapel.
